Summer Substitute at the Support and Welfare Unit

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Before the summer, we are strengthening our unit with a summer substitute.

We are now looking for someone interested in working as a summer substitute with us at the Support and Welfare Unit during the summer of 2025.

Our work with financial assistance is based on two parts. On one hand, we work to ensure that individuals have a reasonable standard of living, and on the other hand, we support individuals in becoming self-sufficient.

In this role, you will meet people in various life situations, and your task is to investigate their right to assistance.

You may also be responsible for new visits, which means you will provide information, investigate living conditions that affect the right to assistance, assess individuals' needs for support, and agree with them on an appropriate action plan. We have made significant progress in digitizing our welfare support process, which has simplified the administrative part of the work. We use the time to strengthen the social work around individuals who need substantial support to become self-sufficient.

You will be part of our workgroup, which currently consists of a team leader and six social workers working with reception and implementation.

This is a temporary position for 8 weeks during the summer months, starting in mid-June by agreement. You will begin with an introductory week, where you will shadow an experienced caseworker. If you are not fully qualified or completely new to the profession, you will not have your own delegation, but there will always be a team leader or experienced caseworker available to consult on decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS

You should be a qualified social worker or have ongoing education to become a social worker or equivalent education. Experience in working with financial assistance or having done an internship in financial assistance is an advantage. As a person, you have a solution-focused approach and are not afraid to take your own initiative. You are structured, eager to learn, attentive, and able to collaborate with others. Computer skills and experience in handling cases in Procapita or Life Care are a plus.
